The 2025 CommonWealth Sustainability Forum in Taiwan argued that we must first ensure our workforce can "work healthily without a drop in productivity."
Larry Du, COO of H2U highlighted: "We focused on climate adaptation like raising factory embankments. But the true corporate risk as temperatures rise is whether our elderly employees and those with chronic diseases can cope healthily."
In Taiwan, the "unhealthy life expectancy" is 7.8 years, meaning that lost productivity and skyrocketing healthcare costs for enterprises.
